We finally got some snow, but it didn't stick. The mountains got snow again and it'sbeen snowing a lot these past few days in the mountains. The temperature is going down though. Some of the people now can't wait for the snow to get here to get out on their snow machines. One lady told me her family goes camping and fishing all summer and in the winter they go to a cabin that can only be reached by plane, boat or snow machine. The lakes are starting to freeze but not solid yet so they can't get there right now.
I took a hike last weekend with some friends while John was in Birmingham for his mom. She was pretty bad and they thought it was the end. The Dr's. decided to take her leg off just above the knee and she is recovering very well.
I went to Hatcher's pass and took a hike we'd not taken yet. It was pretty straight and still pretty warm, the foliage was brown. We saw a beaver dam that was pretty large. I had hoped to see lakes with reflections but most of them were already starting to freeze.
With John home we are back to our regular work routine. Hopefully with the weather being sunny this weekend we can get a hike in. Till then...
