November in Alaska

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry I've been negligent lately. Let's see where did I leave off. We took a couple trips. One day we tried to get onto the hillside but couldn't find anything but houses and a couple parks. The trip we took to the other side of Knik Bay was fun.

We started early and drove up to Wasilla and then south on a road that followed the other side of the Knik Arm. It was hard to tell but we were on high cliffs most of the way. We discovered farms and a prison. No animals except birds. We ended up almost straight across from Anchorage. I'd say 10 miles. We stood on one cliff and discovered they used the area for target practice. There must have been 1000 shotgun shells on the ground.

One day after work John picked me up and took me back over to his office where sitting on the ground next to the building was1 Moose and 2 standing there eating on the trees. Two had antlers that spread a good 5 feet. I took a picture on the phone.

We finally got some snow that stayed. It started a week ago and we got about 3 inches. Then it snowed again on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, another 5 inches and it snowed on Thanksgiving day and the day after. We probably have a good 10 inches.

We went to TGI Fridays for Thanksgiving Dinner. Then on Friday I went to the Mall for the sales at 8AM, No since getting up too early. I got the things I planned on, got my hair cut that to was cheaper, John joined me and we walked the Mall for another 25 minutes. We came home and prepared our Turkey dinner and ate about 5pm. It was so much easier than rushing on Thursday. One of the Guys from John's office was going to come for Thursday but when he bailed we decided it wasn't worth the hurry.

We have two Christmas parties to go to. I brought the little black dress that everyone seems to wear with me so I'm all set. Just have to consider the snow when we get out of the car, Heels or boots? Hope all is well with everyone. Miss you !!
